About FPES

Based in New South Wales and led by Dr. Martin Raftery, one of the world’s foremost musculoskeletal experts, FPES has been providing cost-effective, strategic injury prevention and recovery services tailored to workplaces around Australia since 1996. Our prevention and recovery solutions are designed to mitigate workplace risk, reduce lost-time injuries, lower claims costs, and accelerate recovery - contributing to a significant reduction in workers compensation costs for our clients.

We don’t wait for challenges to grow—we stop them in their tracks. Our focus on early identification of physical and psychological barriers to recovery ensures employees get the care they need before small setbacks become major obstacles.

At FPES, we don’t just manage injuries; we transform recovery. Our business model is built on adopting and adapting sports injury management philosophies and applying these philosophies to workplace injuries.

With access to a nationwide network of over 6,500 treatment providers in 770+ locations, we can offer same-day appointments with physiotherapists, psychologists, and general practitioners.

We’re not just about treatment; we’re about creating lasting relationships. Our strategy is simple: Enhance wellbeing, reduce injury costs, and improve employee experiences.

With FPES, your team gets the care they need to thrive at work and beyond.

FPES understands Australian workforces are characterised by rich diversity and representation of employees from a multitude of nationalities.

At FPES, we acknowledge and celebrate the inherent diversity of cultures and genders. Our commitment to inclusivity goes beyond accommodating specific requests, such as assessments by female providers. We have made substantial investments to ensure interactions with FPES are accessible and culturally sensitive.

We are committed to meeting the varied expectations of our diverse communities through a comprehensive approach.

supporting our diverse communities

Our network is vast and part of our commitment to providing accessible, quality, hands-on treatment as early as possible.

Through telehealth and tele-screening services, our triage nurses can assess and provide immediate support for workers in even the most isolated areas. FPES will work to connect with local healthcare professionals or provide remote physical and psychological support where necessary, ensuring that geographic location is never a barrier to receiving care.

This commitment ensures that our services transcend geographical boundaries, throughout the pre-employment and injury management journey.

All of our providers undergo regular cultural sensitivity and gender diversity training to ensure we uphold these values in every interaction.

This holistic approach reflects FPES's dedication to fostering an environment where every individual feels seen, heard, and respected.

We recognise the unique challenges faced by the remote geographic communities in Australia.

The FPES network provides employers with expedited appointments to over 6,500 Treatment Providers, in more than 770 locations. This network consists of physiotherapists, medical practitioners, and psychologists.
